cramps and bleeding that lasted 5 minutes

Yesterday morning (10DPO) I took a cheap wondfo HPT and it was negative.

I had some slight cramping later that morning and was thinking I could start my period in the next couple of days (usually starts at about 12 DPO). In the early evening I had severe cramping and went to the bathroom (I thought maybe it was cramping due to diarrhea). I ended up not having diarrhea but noticed some bright red blood in the toilet and when I wiped (it was from vagina, not anal-sorry for the TMI but wanted to clarify). So I figured it was my period starting. I put on a pad but since then there has been no bleeding.

This morning (11DPO) still no blood and no cramps.

Any thoughts? Could that have been my period? (My periods only last 2-3 days), or my period starting, stopping, and then maybe it will start again, or possible implantation bleeding (although it was bright red blood).

I usually have spotting before my periods and occasionally it's bright pink or red blood. I've thought before that I'm starting my period only to have it go away for a few days and then the bleeding will start in earnest.

If your period usually starts on 12 DPO, take a test again tomorrow morning. You can get a positive at 10 DPO on a Wondfo but it's definitely on the early side.
