Why was the "Mom's Weekend Out" thread deleted?

As was the thread asking why it was deleted?

Neither one of those threads had anything to do with parenting. It says this right at the top of the forum:

"Please post messages to the most appropriate forums. Wrongly posted messages will likely be deleted."

I was the OP of the thread. The reason I posted it is because, as a parent, leaving my infant behind to go on the trip was difficult and ended up being completely not worth it given what happened. I understand that it's not about parenting, but neither are many of the other threads on here. Maybe this could be a good opportunity to start a thread about issues pertaining to platonic friendships? You have a thread for romantic relationships and family issues, maybe there is room for a thread about friendships as well.
