| I would like to buy a nice, realistic artificial Christmas tree. Where is the best place to buy one? What is the best brand? Will I get a much better price if I wait until after Christmas? Do department stores such as Macy's and Nordstrom sell trees or just ornaments? |
| We got ours after Christmas at Sears. But the selection was slim. We luckily wanted a skinny tree, so there was more selection. But if you are picky, buy it before. |
Home Depot? |

Don't wait until after Christmas. Actually don't wait until after Thanksgiving. The best ones will be gone.
Target, Sears, JCPenney, Home Depot all have decent ones. Online, Frontgate and Hayneedle. |

I just bought one from Christmas Central. A colored tree. It's beautiful and different.
If it doesn't come to you in the best shape, they will replace it without you sending the one you bought back. You can't beat that. |

Get one that's pre-lit. I prefer white lights, but whatever your preference.
I got one on sale at Target b/f Christmas, but Frontgate sells quality stuff; it's just pricey. I actually got a tree cover from Frontgate. Was probably just as much as I paid for the tree. But you need to think how you're going to store an artificial tree. They are pretty heavy, and once they are unfolded from the box, don't fold as neatly up. We take the top off and carry it down to the basement pretty much in tact. |

Garden centers usually have a good selection of nicer trees. Merrifield's has a very nice selection. Amazon and Ebay have a big selection of better brand trees. We ordered our last two from Frontgate. We returned one because many of the tips broke off as we put it up. Frontgate was great about the return and made it easy.
The best tree we ever purchased was from Costco 13 years ago. It was a very full, very wide 9' tree and it was better quality than anything we've found since. They haven't had that sized tree since the old one croaked. |

We have a pre-lit GE brand tree that we bought at Home Depot. It is very easy to put together and it looks really nice. Look
For sales in the next two weeks as the good ones will be gone after Thanksgiving. |

3 years ago, we bought a really great tree from this company. We had previously replaced many of our incandescent Christmas lights with LED ones from them,so when they had a big sale, I took them up on it. They currently have a sale up to 40% off of many items. We love our artificial tree from them (we got one that has lights already on the tree so that we just put it up and decorate and we're done). The tree is so much nicer than the previous Home Depot tree that we had for years.

| We got a really nice one at Home Depot on Black Friday last year. It's prelit and has a remote control which makes turning the lights on/off super easy. |
