Is it normal to bleed after putting in orthodontic elastics?

Is it normal to bleed?
Is it normal for teeth to shift back 5 minutes after taking it off for lunch? They can adjust the elastics strength, can they? |

Hmmm .... my DD didn't bleed from her bands. I think there are different elastic strengths. You should definitely call tomorrow morning and leave a message saying what's going on and ask if that should be happening or something needs to be tweaked.
I'm in SF, but DD's ortho operates on the side of caution and would have DD come in to double-check everything early next week. |

OP: Thanks! dd already took it out. It's too much. I am worried it may affect teeth roots. The elastics shifted the teeth so quickly but it's not stable. It shifted right back.
Will make an appointment next week. She has them out for now. |
