I'd ideally like to find an already framed map, or at least an awesome one that I can fram. Is there any place in the DMV that has a selection of antique maps? I know Etsi and Ebay have them, but I'm unsure about quality.
There's a place in Georgetown, I can't remember the name but I think it's on 31st street nw. Beautiful maps!
The silver spring farmers/Fenton street market has a map guy but it's done for the season.
Just remembered- it's called the Old Print Gallery!
Second the one on 31st Street - I think it's called the Old Print Shop and is directly across from the Post Office. I've bought quite a few maps there over the years and they do framing there. They have a few preframed things but I wouldn't limit your choices to those. I have also bought quite a few maps and prints over the years from the Philadelphia Print Shop (it's in a Philadelphia suburb)- they have a good website and also do framing.
Try the flea market at Eastern Market.
There is a place in Old Town Alexandria.

Little bit more legwork required for this one, but Arlington Central library has a center for local history that houses an old map collection, with maps of the area from before ww2. I believe the collection covers at least northern VA, and it might have coverage beyond that. There is typically a curator/librarian person on staff to help you find what you're looking for. The drawback is you have to be creative about reproducing the maps once you find one you like (can't just photocopy it if it's oversized).
Second Story Books in Dupont Circle frequently has a map/print collection for sale.
