| DS is hoping to attend a "small-ish" liberal arts college on the east coast/mid-west. Doesn't care for frats and not a partying type of kid. Athletic, but probably considered a little "nerdy." Strong academically and with ECs, but no other real hooks (not a legacy, not a diversity candidate, not a D-1 level sports guy.) Appreciate recommendations! |
| NESCAC |
| I'm sorry. What does that mean? |
| Grades? Scores? AP classes? Details matter. |

Probably helpful if I say more. I went to Middlebury and loved it. I didn't play team sports and I partied too much, but there were tons of students there who were studious, athletic, and happy. The athletic facilities are very nice.
I would imagine that 1 of the 11 schools would be a good fit for your son, or at least a good place to start looking. |
| Haverford comes immediately to mind. Maybe Wesleyan. |
| Carleton |
Yes, and Macalester perhaps as well. |

Grinnell
Vassar Colby Bates Bowdoin |

Without hesitation: Sarah Lawrence College.
Take a look. |
| Haverford and Swarthmore in Pennsylvania. Both have affiliation with each other and UPenn. |
| Its in the West, but Reed is great. |
