I'm looking for the clip, but it was during this morning's Morning Joe, at about 6:50.
They were talking Bushes and that they do have a history of going negative. Halperin through out his thoughts referenced above. It made me think, W. actually was better on the stump than Jeb and probably would have handle Trump. Certainly more "energetic"... Thoughts? |
|
I think Mark Halperin's big scoop for Bloomberg was how Eric Cantor was going to stay on as majority leader. His sources told him that, too.
So, you'll pardon me while I wipe up the milk that just came out of my nose reading your post positioning him as credible about anything. |
| Halperin is such a goof. |
|
I think W is super busy painting portraits of poodles to care about Trump.
To your point: everyone said Jeb was the smart one...but I don't buy it. He's certainly not a gifted politician. I honestly feel sorry for him. He seems like he'd rather be smoking a cigar on a golf course than out on the campaign trail. I suspect his therapist has insight into some sort of inferiority complex driven by sibling rivalry. Even his own mother said she hoped he wouldn't run. Poor guy. |
One can be incredibly smart and still not be a gifted politician. In fact those two characteristics describe the eventual winner. |
|
It's like comparing sport teams from different decades...can't be done. Trump is an outsider canidate who has tapped into the zeitgeist of a lot of republicans and independents. The politicians have been mouthing empty talking points while most of the people in the country tread water or sink deeper into debt. They know something has to change. Bush got elected because people were tired of Clinton and Al Gorge blow Florida.
Also Trump is not an act. He is who he is on stage or in person. He has grown up in the rough and tumble politics and press coverage of NYC. He will not wilt under the bright lights. If he and W went at each other, I don't see trump backing down on W military service, coke use, driving record, womanizing, etc. |
| Halperin is such an idiot. |
|
People seem to like Trump because he isn't afraid to speak his mind. The problem is that everything he says is stupid. W had the same problem, but he was clever enough to make up flowery new words like strategery. Therefore, W beats Trump, Trump beats Carson, Carson beats bibles, and Hillary beats them all ;0)
|
| His scoop was on how Romney was going to run. |
| To 16:29--you are the poster who is always spitting coffee and shooting nose milk etc. Please stop with these tmi phrases. Just Stop. |
Does it matter? W can't run. We can talk hypotheticals all day. Who would make a better president- Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny? Bugs is smart, but Mickey is really likable! Neither will run.

|
He went to Carderock, Pyle then Whitman his dad was a press guy back in nioxon's administration and won $1 when he sued someone
not a bad guy, very smart guy |
And? Even a broken clock .... |
|
Trump is a blowhard whose policy ideas would be unmitigated disasters, but his candidacy resonates with a lot of other idiots who think "telling it like it is" constitutes a governing strategy.
As for Trump v. W, Trump would never tire of calling W stupid, and it would resonate because W was an intellectual lightweight. Sure, people don't like eggheads -- but they also don't really like dimwits who are getting pushed around by the school bully either. When W went up against Gore, W was the bully - or at least the class clown - and that won against Gore's Poindexter act. |
| His "sources" ... "believe"? Quite the newsworthy scoop there. Gosh, imagine what we might learn about this important topic of his "sources" were on the record. Wow. Just wow. |
