Deletion of recent rubio thread

I was wondering about your reasoning for the deletion of the recent Rubio thread.

You were the author of every post in that thread. Moreover, there was an already existing thread about Rubio.

As I have tried to explain to you several times, DCUM is a discussion forum. DCUM is not your personal blog, it is not your Twitter feed, and it is not your Facebook page. It is a discussion forum. If you start a thread and repeatedly post to it without waiting for others to respond, that is not "discussion".

While we are having this talk, I should mention that your posts are a source of never-ending complaints from other users. You have a tendency to post a lot of threads and then continually post to those threads. Other users lose interest in a thread, but you keep it alive with your frequent posts. I've actually removed a number of threads that were almost entirely, if not entirely, your posts.

As you know from the complaints that you've seen yourself, many posters find your use of emoticons annoying. In addition, you have a tendency to make generalized statements such as "Republicans are racists". In fact, not all Republicans are racists and not all racists are Republicans. Those blanket negative statements also cause a lot of complaints. It would be great if you would tone things down so that you don't alienate our other users.

That was all about you. I was out trying to enjoy myself and I had to sit there on my phone deleting your threads. So, go ahead and keep being yourself and I'll keep doing what I have to do to keep you from chasing away the rest of our users.

Thanks for your clarification Jeff.

I have strong views, and I understand that many people who disagree with me will complain.

I have also responded to many people who have called me all kinds of vile things on these threads, and have asked you to remove many posts. Some containing vile, racist language.

But as I has suspected, this is your livelihood, and I don't want to affect it negatively by driving away your users.

I'll find another forum to express my thoughts when I feel compelled to do that.
