My house smells like green onions

My house, inexplicably, smells like green onions. I haven't eaten them, cooked with them, bought them in months and when I walked in today it's all I could smell. (I'm not pregnant... I'm sure). Is there a mold or (ugh) vermin or something that could make this happen? 100+ year old stand alone home in the city.

Check your cabinets and pantry. You might have a forgotten onion that has sprouted.

Stink bugs? Their scent reminds me of green peas.

Do you have a sump pump battery? They sometimes require water. Sulfuric acid is inside and sulfur compounds are in onions too.

If cilantro smell, maybe stink bugs.

Could be dead vermin.

Then again, sometimes an onion is just an onion.
