| "That I have no weaknesses, leaving me unable to answer this question in a satisfactory way." |
Reading DCUM during the work day.

| I've totally done the "perfectionist" shtick, which is true but tired. Sometimes I get a little more honest and say "If it's a matter of principle versus relationships, principle is going to win." |

I have said something that is a weakness for my current job but that would likely be irrelevant for the new job.
For example, when interviewing for in-house counsel positions I have said while I can do the business development aspect of my job as a lawyer at a law firm, I am not a natural sales person so it is not my strength. |
So how does this go over? Does this give the interviewers a pause? Have you gotten offers after the interviews where you said this? |
It's been a strength - I think they see it as an admirable trait (not waffly, true to my word, etc). And, yes, have gotten offers after saying this. (I also make an excellent first impression, which helps.) |
Good for you! (humility is clearly not your weakness, LOL) It makes sense - even the organizations that practice the most "flexible" moral code will not admit it to a prospective recruit. |
