Linkedin settings - is there a way to set "open for opportunities"

Anonymous
I talked with a recruiter who said you should set your linkedin account to "open for opportunities." But…I can't figure out where that setting is. I feel too stupid to ask her…so I thought I'd check here

Does anyone know of this setting? I just didn't see it in the account or settings area.

Thanks!

Not even a month ago, someone asked this. Do a search next time: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/506435.page#7736270

It's pretty useless though, I don't think anyone really filters on that.

Be careful on LinkedIN just like on any other social media platform, make sure you know the recruiter before you connect. One guy I know had his whole profile/resume stolen from a fake recruiter.

She is looking for a job and will not know all of the recruiters out there. Very small chance of something like that happening.

What exactly does it mean to have your profile stolen?
