| Has anyone done this? We did Busch Gardens a few years ago, and it was way too crowded. Wondering if Hershey is the same way. Any feedback or advice from people who have been there? |
| We did. It wasn't terribly crowded, but it was freezing -- a LOT colder than Williamsburg. |
| And it's much smaller |
| We like Hershey much better than Williamsburg. First off, the hotels are decorated so nicely and many have shows and events, super good meals too. They have more rides and even roller coasters open. They have a separate Chocolate stores, they have a separate drive thru lights, they have the zoo. Less crowded, more family friendly. Add a trip to Lancaster to do Polar Express trip! |
+1 |
| Hotel Hershey knows how to do this stuff right. |
Yes. But it's crazy expensive. |
It's all relative. |
| Hershey Lodge (cheaper than hotel Hershey) quoted us $900. Two night minimum. Having stayed there in the past, I can report it's not worth it. |
| be careful if you go: you have to dodge giant m and m's in the lobby. |
Oh, you want to be thought of as so very clever but you're too dumb to know that Hershey doesn't even make M&Ms. Loser. |
| We just spent Halloween weekend at the Hershey Lodge & had a great time. Have also stayed at the Hotel Hershey for a few days during the week after Christmas & it was not too crowded. Although staying on a Hershey property is more expensive, we liked having a choice of restaurants & other amenities onsite, plus a free shuttle to go to other Hershey properties. We plan to return & it is more fun than Williamsburg |
tsk, tsk, such vitriole. guess it sucks to be you! |
Plan ahead. Just spent 5 nights at hotel Hershey over a Hershey park in the dark weekend (sold out) for 1000 bucks including eating meals on site. |
That's great! But the rates jump up in December...especially around Christmas and New Years...and I think the OP is interested in the holiday season. |
