Live in Arlington, VA. Not sure if it should be an endocrinologist, internal medicine, or gastroenterologist
Was just diagnosed -levels are in the borderline range so they took more labs to determine if we should pursue medication. Reading a lot that it may be linked to gluten intolerance. This will be so hard but willing to try anything to get rid of my symptoms (fatigue, depression, weight gain, skin problems, muscle pain). |
An endocrinologist will manage your thyroid levels. An internal medicine doctor can do it but I prefer to see an endocrinologist and I would recommend that to you.
I'm happy with my integrative medicine doctor, but they don't participate with many insurance plans. Here's some info they put out on low dose naltrexone for Hashimoto's http://www.kaplanclinic.com/article/low-dose-naltrexone-for-chronic-pain/
Michael West in Foggy Bottom a possibility.
I saw Dr Caroline Huang at VHC when I lived there. I was really happy with her - she kept my levels at a good range.
