stressed Mom looking for support group

Anonymous
Can any one recommend an active support group or therapist in DC (or very close in suburbs) for parents of kids with special needs? My 4 year old has a host of developmental delays along with speech, attention and anxiety issues. Lately I've been worrying a lot about the future, and what life will have in store for my challenging child. It would be helpful to talk with others in the same boat. I know there is another thread for this, but none of the posts were recent.
Thanks

I'm in the exact same boat and I'm in.

Me too!

My congregation has a monthly parent support group. I would look at the websites of the congregations in your area to see if one in your area has one too. They usually do not require membership to attend.

DH and I took Dan Shapiro's course. The material that he discussed was excellent. What was even better was the 10 guaranteed date nights with DH and the built in support group we found from others who were attending the lecture series.

Not the OP but are any of those even active? The most recent posts are all for child support groups and the most recent Parent group post was from 2013.

I'm interested in a support group for kids with ED. Anyone know of any?
