Prepping/Scamming the Cogat

I wonder the impact factor of the rags this knuckle head masquerading as a scientist publishes in...

Are you stumped yet Einsteino?

A teacher is apparently attempting to act.

Yeah, we caught the impersonation. I'm off to replenish the popcorn.

Please pause.

I guess the test prep guy has his pupils on here now. A little break between worksheets.

There are many who prepare for tests but only one who claims studying and preparation is cheating and took away a precious seat belonging to her child whose preparation and study fell short.

It is always painful when the failing student is the child of a teacher.

I say let 7 yo's be yo's. AAP and TJ will not define success. Quality of life matters.

This. Much sense here but some people will just never get it. They cannot conceive of "success" that doesn't follow a lockstep pattern from one point to the next. It's the only way that makes sense to them and imagining anything outside that pattern is just. too. difficult.

Yep.

Tell that to all the mini lacrosse, piano, swimming, chess, violin, reading, gymnastics, dance, and soccer enthusiasts for whom the study and preparation (prepping) began when they were barely out of diapers.

I'm sure my neighborhood is an outlier.

Some people do really obsess over what other children (not their own) do in school. My experience is those obsessing over other children are disappointed in their own children ...and perhaps themselves.

The teacher.

Yep

Right. And a lot of those kids are doing activities like those in addition to school. And they are truly learning and accomplishing new skills.

Not at all the same as seeing test questions in advance of a test that they are not supposed to see ahead of time.

The example above is not at all a good analogy to CogAT test prep.

Why all the snark over teachers? If you hold them in such contempt, why do you send your kids to FCPS schools?

(Not a teacher myself, BTW.)

God, I hope my DC never thinks this way.

I gotta be honest, I agree with you. Academic achievement is laudable, but when you get right down to it, man, those other two leave it in the shade accomplishment-wise.

Who does this? You have no proof any cool cat, or whatever you call it, was breeched and the students in the County had the exact questions for the test ahead of time.

I will preempt your feeble tries to introduce a statement for the umpteenth time from FCPS because it fails to substantiate your claim.

Thus, it is I inadmissible because of this failure and we have already read it.

Go back to FCPS for real evidence to support your allegation and imagination.
