Lol given a quick meet mobile search tells me they had 23 different swimmers make an A final (or place top 8 in the 1000/1650) which by any metric is not “very few”, I’m going to guess nothing else you have said or will continue to say bears any weight. |
| Just add relative to team size and you'll figure it out. |
A finals vs number of swimmers in the meet: Machine - 25/121 (20.7%) ASA - 17/99 (17.1%) Makos - 8/56 (14.3%) AAC - 7/47 (14.9%) Dragon - 5/19 (26.3%) St James - 4/17 (23.5%) |
What is your bizarre obsession with Machine "needing help"? Why do you care? |
I was looking at meet points compared to overall team size (i.e., meet points divided by number of rostered premium swimmers). 2-3 is an average ratio for the top 15 teams. DRAG, ASA, STJS, HYAQ, RMSC, and NCAP were all above 3. MACH, FISH, AAC, SDS, and YORK were all below 2. |
| You're gross. I'm a Machine parent and we are immensely happy with our club as it is. We love the healthy swim culture they have built for our kids. I have never once worried about my kid coming home from swim practice injured or crying. We don't want to be an NCAP, hard as that may be for you to understand. |
If you're so happy with your non-NCAP team why are you reading and engaging in this thread? |
| I’m not sure, but I’d love to get these 10 minutes of my life back. |
In case unhappy people directly affected have questions about better options? |
Don’t forget that if AGC isn’t their culminating meet, they may be swimming off events. |
How do you have the time to figure this out?! |
You go to meet mobile, select the meet, go to teams, select the team you want, count the number of athletes at the meet and click on kids who show as having scored points and see if they swam an A final… took about 5 minutes top which I can guarantee is way shorter than many people have spent making a comment on this thread. |
DP - are you trying to claim that you don't really care about this issue, since it "took about 5 minutes"? Because that strains credulity. |
No more like I care about calling out the absolute BS takes spewd on this site as some are so terrible that all it takes to debunk them is a simple 5 minute fact check. |
"absolute BS takes" on, what what percentage of a team's swimmers make the A finals at a given meet? Those are worth "calling out?" That's a level of obsession that most people don't share. |
