More than half of the Dalton kids are legacy/sibling
|
| People really over emphasize siblings. Statistically, a large part of the class anywhere is going to be younger siblings. Having a bunch of older siblings at good schools just means the preschool was successful at placing the older siblings, which is a good thing. Those older siblings were “unconnected” once too. |
This has always been my feeling as well re siblings. Seems much different than legacies IMO. |
9 are going to St B?? Wow Why is there no Collegiate on this list ? Are people not as interested |
This list covers 42 kids! I am guessing the remainder (1-3 kids each) would be Collegiate, Trinity, Spence, and A-S? I am surprised Spence is not more popular. Overall really excellent placement. They know what they are doing. |

You 🤮🤡 |
Siblings/Legacy stats (best estimate): St. B's (7 or 8), Dalton (5), Chapin (3), Brearley (2), Sacred Heart, Spence, St. D's and Trinity (1 each), |
Ohhh so of the 9 St B's, 7ish are sibs and 1-2 unconnected? |
Tier 1: 92Y, Episcopal Tier 1.5: Brick Tier 2: WSMS There is someone on this board who is clearly affiliated with and pumping WSMS. It is a great school and program but not at the level of the others. It is also much larger and has a significant portion of the population that goes to public school which is a rarity at the other three. |
| In terms of exmissions, Park Childrens is out placing compared to WSMS. If you live on the west side, that’s the better school. |
| CCDS was Trinity (2) Dalton (2) Brearley (1) Spence (4) Chapin (3) Riverdale (1) St B (1) Buckley (1) NBS (2) Sacred Heart (1) Hunter (1) and a couple to public (by choice). That's it, small class. 5 were connected (and not all to TT). |
Were Trinity and Dalton ones connected ? |
Half. Don't want to slice and dice too much more or end up discussing individual kids.. |
