Different pP and not saying the house is a good deal especially as I don’t know the prices in that area well. But you are a fool if you cannot see beyond lack of staging and landscaping. This house is no more depressing than a lot of other colonial in the area. The living room is not small, the kitchen and bathrooms are perfectly fine, can’t see depressing there

Are you kidding the rooms are 11 feet wide the house is mediocre at best and no one on earth in their right mind should pay $7700 a month after a $265DP for that crappy little house. That payment would have gotten you a relative palace just 2-3 years ago.

Really all you need to do is buy a house with tenants in it already. Then you move home to mommy’s basement 3/4 years. Let tenant help pay down mortgage in meanwhile

What every single person in the past has done... buy something they can afford. Because they were all thinking about what if too. But they eventually bought.

yeah if we can find it. so far no dice. we lost the last house - that got NINETEEN offers. lots of people are looking in the lower price range

+100. A fixer-upper in a decent neighborhood (which this looks to be although I don’t know the neighborhood either) is what our parents and grandparents did. And what my family did 20 years ago—and now our value has tripled or quadrupled. Expecting a move-in 4br in Bethesda for less than this house just isn’t realistic.
