I would like to replace my foyer light (the builder installed it. 'Nuff said on why I want to replace it).
My foyer is two stories and the light is over a staircase. How can this easily be replaced? I assume not too many electricians have ladders that tall plus you can't easily place a ladder on the stairs. But with more and more newer house having 2 story whatevers, lights are switched out. But how? |
I'd anxious to know the same thing - any specific lights you have in mind op? I am nervous to pick a new one because I worry I won't make a good choice and it'll cost a fortune to have someone install! |
Call a few handymen and ask if they can get up there to do it. I don't think an electrician is required unless you didn't already have an existing light and needed new wiring put in. |
We did scaffolding at the same time we had the foyer repainted. And the ceiling repainted. |
Set it up with a reputable company and they will bring a really tall ladder. |
+1. And we selected a simple light fixture (easier to clean) and put long lasting LED bulbs in it. |
