We are new to FCPS and wanted to know when we should be receiving report card info? And any insights to the elementary level grading system?
thanks |
| I teach in FCPS (high school), and our grades are due Wednesday morning so parents should be able to see them after that. |
thank you! |
| Another FCPS teacher (also HS) here, our final time to post grades is Thursday morning, so just be aware that each school is a little different. I would think it's sometime this week, though. |
| One of my kid's grades are already posted, the other's, not. Same school. |
| Do elementary schools post report cards online? |
No. |
Some info about elementary progress reports: http://www.fcps.edu/is/schoolcounseling/documents/ElementaryGradingandReportingHandbookparents.pdf http://www.fcps.edu/is/elemprogreport/documents/ParentBrochure.pdf http://www.fcps.edu/laurelhilles/docs/general%20docs/Parent_Presentation_on_new_grading_system[1].pdf |
Ours does. |
| I emailed out progress reports on Friday with a "last call if you see any mistakes" note. I will post final grades tomorrow on the teacher work day, though they technically aren't due until Wednesday morning. |
Ok. I was thinking of grades as the quarter progresses. Once the progress reports are marked as "complete" they do show up on SIS. |
High school? |
| If a school is using SIS (the student information system) and parents have an online account, as soon as grades are posted by the teacher, parents can see them. I posted mine this morning and they are already viewable through the StudentVue option (that's how we check if we posted correctly--and from what I understand, we can see the same thing parents can see). What I don't know is if every school is using SIS--I assume they are, but don't know for sure. |
