Capital Kids Daycare in DC

Does anyone know anything about Capital Kids (have used them or know friends that have)? What has waiting list experience been like? We are thinking of applying there (yet another DC Daycare... the waiting lists are endless).

I started this thread and you may want to search it: How long are you already on the waiting list for CapKids in WDC?
You need to get on a lot of waiting lists....good luck.

It is just OK, not great. Had my child there for several months but pulled her once a better school came along

We were on the waiting list for about 10 months before we got a spot in the infant room. Can't tell you anything about it though as we passed up our spot.

To the 02/01 poster - why was it just OK for you? What was the better school that came along. Currently I have my daughter on four waiting lists, but do to location and after a recent visit I think Capital Kids is my first choice so I am curious. My daughter would be in the two year old room - FYI.

They rely too heavily on flash cards and rote memorization - a lot of the work they have these kids do are not very age appropriate. Also, homework - my child brought home their first assignment prior to second birthday. Just not my philosophy.

I found as well that around pick up time every evening it was total chaos.
