What time to line up at Little Serow?

Anonymous
Has anyone been recently on a Friday? What time does one need to get in line? We're a little nervous because the Washington Post Fall Guide just appeared with Little Serow as one of the top restaurants.

I live near there and usually see a line around 5:30 (sometimes a little earlier on weekend nights). I wish they would just use a reservation system. It's irritating to have that line clogging up the sidewalk.

It used to be that showing up
About 30 mins prior to opening got you second seating. Don't know if the wash post change things

What if you want the second seating? Can we get in line early and then request the second seating, like you can do at Rose's Luxury?

yes. if they have it available, and that's your preference, absolutely.

went about a month ago on a friday with a group of five. we arrived at 4:50 pm and were fourth in line.. by 5:00 there was probably about another five/six parties behind us waiting. ended up sitting at the bar-like table right when they opened.

We saw that many people who arrived closer to 5:30 had to wait until the second seating or possibly were turned away.
