Do some of you all not have jobs? Working with annoying people comes with the territory, regardless of profession. Being annoying or as some of you put it, unprofessional, is not actionable as sexual harassment.

And being outwitted strategically is not extortion.

Bit being threatened with fabricated sexual harassment claims in exchange for rights to a movie is.

Please point to where Lively threatened Baldoni with fabricated SH claims in exchange for movie rights. And no, Reddit threads where random people just assert that this is what must have happened don't count. Show where Lively threatened to go public with fabricated claims to get the rights to the sequel.

How did it go from Blake supporting Justin and the film to having Justin and his family segregated into the basement at the premier? Why did Blake make this happen?

I don't know if she did or how she did, let alone why. Who decides who walks the red carpet? Sony? Wayfarer? Why didn't whoever is in charge insist that he be allowed to walk with the cast? At that point Blake had already filmed and could not threaten to quit. She could threaten not to promote the film but that would also harm her interests. Could it be that maybe, just maybe, Baldoni and Wayfarer didn't push back hard because he did, in fact, do something he didn't want to get out? I'm not saying it's what happened for sure, but I hold it within the realm of possibility.

Not wanting her accusations to get out has nothing to do with guilt or innocence.

I think this is the main issue and why they were able to uniquely target him because of his feminism brand and why that would not have worked with a lot of other male directors in Hollywood. He was probably really nervous that she was going to spread around that she felt she was fat shamed, even though most people would not agree that that was what he was doing. She twisted things - she had shown her cards with the list of demands at the January 4 meeting. Ryan had already berated/screamed at him at that meeting.

I don’t think that means he is admitting to anything, but he knew what she was doing.

You have to remember, at that point, Ryan Reynolds was going around town saying JB was a sexual predator - that wasn’t made public yet, but it was definitely insider information that had to concern him.

Really unbelievable that anyone would look at that scenario and blame him or make it as if he was admitting wrongdoing. They totally had him backed into a corner. He knew what they were capable of and what they had already done.

Nah. She’s been a compulsive lying scamming bully for 20 years.

Baldoni hasn't really articulated how and when Reynolds called him a sexual predator.

Forgot about that mention. So they lied, mocked him in their movie, usurped his power; ambushed and chewed him out; forced him to agree to their demands; overstep traditional director/actor boundaries and stated that is their m.o., force him to take their rewrite of the script else dragons would act out against him, cancel wardrobe in favor of their wardrobe, not agree to an IC, not agree to promised pullout if his script outperformed hers to screening audiences, omit him from marketing, force him and his family to watch movie in basement at the premiere, demand a production credit, accuse of astroturfing when bad publicity came back…am I missing anything?

And people are saying he shouldn’t fight back via lawsuit?

What am I missing?

Oops, I forgot the countless threats to quit if demands weren’t being met.

Yet she was being harassed, consistently, with no power in this situation?

I don't think it was Reynold's intent to humiliate Baldoni publicly with that character -- I think it was a private joke between him and Lively that made it's way into his movie and that it got "outed" thanks to the litigation.

I know people will say they shouldn't have joked about it but people use humor to handle stress and trauma all the time. It's honestly healthy.

Baldoni was the one who brought the issue of Nicepool forward and made people focus on it. Had he not sent that letter to Disney/Marvel about the character, I don't think this is something anyone would cover in media. Baldoni wanted to highlight the similarities between himself and Nicepool in order to pursue this "bullying" allegation. But before that, most people had not made the connection between the two.

They intended to humiliate him how DARE he notice or complain. In fact how dare he watch the movie since it’s not his kind of movie!

Bullies love blaming their victims. I couldn’t be happier to see Lively et al flail. It’s funny.

Because he sexually harassed her on set.

He didn’t. She’s a liar and unethical and has been for her entire adult love. Plantation Khaleesi is an earned name for her.

Yeah, I mean, they removed several things from the amended complaint. They changed the wording wherever they were busted by Justin’s complaint, and they even deleted things (like that she couldnt get covering between breaks during the birthing scene).

Super sketch. I don’t know how people can just ignore that.

It totally gives you plastic-firm t!ts and permanently triple-sized lips, duhhhh!! Every ob knows it.

Yeah, so if your goal is to convince anyone that your "position" on the legal case stems from anything other than raging misogyny, these comments aren't cutting it.

Who cares if she has had plastic surgery? How is that relevant to anything? If we found out Baldoni took steroids, would that matter? No. It's just a weird obsession with Lively's body and appearance.

I could not care less about your opinion. I’ve read the pleadings, I dropped links to Molly McPherson, I understand how EEO matters are pled, and I and others I assume have been accused of disbelieving Lively because of her not-real beauty. Her appearance is arguably germane to what pushed her to make these self-defeating, nonsense claims. It’s the seed of a lot of it. She spun out because of criticism of her costuming as the character (choices) and because her ads for that desperado hair care line didn’t land for people (choices part 2). Those and other long-extant criticisms of her she decided had to be due to nefarious PR activities on behalf of Baldoni. Color me skeptical.

PP, I agree with you and fwiw I’m basically ignoring anything this person posts. They have been on a real bender today but much of what they’ve posted is barely coherent and in a tone that’s not really worth responding to imho.

You’re flipping out at someone else. I’m afraid your psychic powers have failed you.

Yep, they amended their complaint today “quietly.”

It shows the text of where JB was labeled as a sexual predator. Reddit offers the deets.

Oops, meant to say they revised their amended complaint today

People are saying he shouldn't have fought back by signing on with the Depp/Heard tactics to destroy Lively. I can understand why he did it, because Lively also did terrible things. I don't think anyone has said he shouldn't have sued. Most of his claims aren't particularly strong, but he certainly has the right to assert them, and much of his evidence is geared to the media, not the court, including that timeline that's probably going to be struck.

As far as your list, most of those things aren't illegal. Some of them aren't unethical at all (wardrobe stuff) or were not within Lively's complete control (she had the right to advocate for her cut and if Sony agreed, oh well). Some of them are unethical or terrible things to do.
