Orange/rust spots on granite

We have been looking for light granite. A lot of the slabs we see have rust spots on them. We have had some places tell us that the spots that exist won't get worse and new spots won't appear and others have told us that the spots come out of the stone over time and can enlarge.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Darker granite isn't really an option on our dark cabinets.

Mineral veins run through some granites, and at times, exit the channel moving onto more of the granite surface itself.

So many granites in our area to view without minerals though. If your in Virginia, there are many large granite importers near Chantilly and also off Route 7. Good luck.
