Where do you hang stockings if you don't have a mantel?

| Our fireplace is in our basement and we don't go down there much in the winter because it gets really cold. We keep our christmas tree upstairs in our living room (we're in a townhouse), but we don't have anywhere to hang stockings. How/where would you hang stockings if you don't have a mantel? |
