interactions btw pre-k and older students

Anonymous
for those of you who have children in pre-k in a dc public elementary...

what are the interactions like between the older children and the youngest? are there any scenarios where the older children might say things like "you're a baby!" or anything like that?

thanks.

your question is kind of odd - and from the "yo baby," comment, sounds like you're uncomfortable with sending your child to a DC Public.

To answer your question, the older kids are both indifferent to and protective of the Pre-K kids.

Oops - misread you're a baby for "yo baby"

Older kids don't bother the younger ones, and there's no sixth grade, which means that the older kids are 10.

At our school, the pre-K and K kids are in a separate wing, and have a different recess time. But, I've never heard of any problems between the bigger kids and little ones. If anything, some of the bigger ones are quite protective of the smaller ones.
