| Hi all, one of the supplements my dr recommended was 75 mg of DHEA daily. In the few months I've been on it, my sex drive has gone from almost zero to raging. Like sex twice a month previously, to almost every single day now. I don't know if it's the supplements or what, but in trying to figure it out, I was reading that DHEA can increase sex drive because it has androgenic properties. Of course there seems to be no consensus as to what increases a woman's sex drive, some studies say testosterone, some say estrogen (I guess if doctors knew the secret to this, they'd be billionaires!). I'm not complaining! I'd just like to know what's going on with my body! And I don't know anyone else on DHEA except those doing fertility treatments, so I thought I'd ask here. Just wondering if any other ladies have experienced this? |

I did it. DHEA is essentially the building blocks of testosterone. So like the late night commercials promise for men with "low T", your sex drive may increase.
I felt amazing on DHEA and my egg quality greatly improved. My hair was greasy, shedding (luckily I have super thick hair) and my skin broke out -- but 100% worth it. |
| I had to stop DHEA after a couple of weeks. I was perspiring profusely and just boiling hot all the time. Then it threw off my cycle. My RE said to stop. |
| OP here. I feel amazing. HIGH sex drive, good energy. My hair has been a little greasy and flaky. I am hot all the time, but that could be hypothyroidism. It doesn't appear to have increased egg counts yet but I don't know about quality. Based on the energy and sex drive alone, it's been worth it LOL. Just curious to see how others have been affected. I feel like I've stumbled onto a miracle drug for women's libido. But I guess it affects everyone differently. |
