cheapest queen mattress/boxspring/bedsets

We have 2 guest rooms. One has a nice comfy queen size bed in it. The other will have a queen size bed too. But we don't expect to use it much at all. So I want the cheapest available option. Any recs on mattresses/boxsprings and beds?

If I buy at Ikea will the mattress fit in a car (I know they roll up..)

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on mattress for my kids in case they destroy them. I ended up getting one from Mattress Land in Takoma Park. The boxspring was included in the sale, they'll do delivery if you arrange it, but haulaway is extra.

Mind if I take a moment to complain about how quickly mattresses are discontinued and renamed? The queen DD sleeps on is glorious. I want the same for my bed, a king. I cannot find it anywhere and there's no means of locating the new version. It's like starting out from scratch and is really annoying. I have had very bad experiences with the twin mattresses for DS's trundle (too, too hard), along with my king, which I had replaced once the first attempt arrived and proved nearly hollow.

A new mattress/box spring set for my bed is my priority right now, and it feels ridiculous to have to plan multiple visits to myriad sites to have to find my DD's brand of mattress. You'd think it'd be easy enough to locate online. Ugh.

I've seen a lot of good sales for foam mattresses, OP. They seems super comfortable but for the heat issue. I keep hearing that they retain far too much heat, it's difficult to enough the comfort of the supportive foam.

Please let us know what you find. It'd be a great community service.

I did! I wasn't expecting much but HOLY COW it was amazing. I actually ended up putting my mattress in the guest room and keeping the Amazon one for myself

ok so I guess it's not $200 but it did come with a frame that we used for a few months until buying a proper bed frame. still an amazing mattress (and free shipping)

I bought my son an ikea mattress and bed for well under $800 and it is super comfy. I'm considering replacing mine even though I really don't need to.

I got a $399 set from Macy's for our guest room and it is the most comfortable bed in our house. I wish we hadn't spent $1200 on our crappy ass mattress.
