| We are traveling on Halloween this year and will get home too late for trick-or-treating. DD has not yet put this together, but it's going to be a huge disappointment. I know Boo at the Zoo is ahead of time, but does anyone know of any neighborhood or merchant-type Halloween activities on Sunday, November 1 this year? |

Cox Farms will still have their Fall Festival going on.

| Bummer! Maybe focus on one of the post-Halloween "punkin' chunkin'" kind of things at one of the big farms? Not the same as trick or treating but still in the spirit. |

OP,
Check your local shopping malls b/c there are often trick-or-treating events before Halloween, e.g.,: http://www.shopcabinjohn.com/events/list/ |
|
Great Country Farms will have Pumpkin Chunkin:

Is your family into running at all? No trick or treating, but the Goblin Gallop has a 5K and Fun Run and people dress in costumes, there's face painting and a moon bounce, etc.

| Let her have a party with friends wearing costumes and candy - she will love it! |
You would be disappointed if you came to my house. Oct. 31 is Halloween not Nov. 1. |
Right. Hence my question about non-residential activities on the day after. We will not be going door-to-door in any neighborhood b/c of our travel. |
| If you'll be in town, you'll probably have better luck finding events Oct 24-25 rather than Nov 1. |
| Have a Halloween party. Take advantage of big mark downs. Or hide candy around your house and let your kids find it. |
| See if an of your local churches are doing a trunk or treat |
| Where will you be? Can you trick or treat on the road? |
| Air travel? Let her wear her costume. I bet places along tye way will have candy to give out. |
I'm sure people are disappointed no matter when they go to your house. |
