House & Garden Tour to benefit Bancroft PTO tomorrow

Can I just say how much we are loving Bancroft this year? My 4th and 2nd graders are involved in all sorts of great after school clubs that are free to all students, and the aftercare is working really well for them - it is inexpensive and the aftercare staff is engaged, friendly, and fun. We feel so lucky to have landed at this neighborhood school. I had a great time chatting with parents this morning after dropping off my kids, who are so excited about drama club, chess club, Lego club, and drumming club. And, their Spanish is taking off! Not bad for monolingual kids who started in 2nd grade.

If you are considering Bancroft, you should come to the Mt. Pleasant House & Garden tour tomorrow. Parents will be on duty at each house and will be happy to talk about their experience at the school.

If you love looking at houses, this is a chance to explore seven beautiful homes and gardens in Mt. Pleasant. Houses are open from 2:00 - 5:00pm, followed by a "Taste of Mt. Pleasant" cocktail party from 5:00 - 7:00pm, featuring food from local restaurants and vendors, including Beau Thai, Dos Gringos, Each Peach, Purple Patch, Radius Pizza and more. All proceeds will benefit the Bancroft Elementary School PTO. Purchase tickets at www.mtpleasanthouseandgardentour.com. You can also download a map. House tour: $30 in advance / $35 day of the event. Tour & Reception: $40 in advance / $45 day of event.
