| Anybody from C'ville or familiar with C'ville and can give us some suggestions of what to do with kids before the game this weekend? Game time isn't until 3:30 this Saturday and we have to keep them occupied until then! |
| Traffic will be a nightmare. No recommendation really except make sure it's walkable. Once you've parked, you aren't going to want to move your car. Is your hotel nice? |
| Apple picking at Carter Mountain - it will be packed but if you go early you can pick apples and picnic up there. |
| 3:30 game times suck, bro. |

I used to live in Cville and friends have told me the line of cars waiting to pick apples on Carter Mtn is a nightmare.
The downtown mall is fun--you could do ice skating, if that's still open, or just walk around, window shop, have a snack. There's also a museum for kids on the downtown mall. |

This is a good resource: http://www.charlottesvillefamily.com/
Lots of nice parks listed here: http://www.charlottesvillefamily.com/ak_parks_and_playgrounds.htm |
| Also lots of fun bike paths around town if you can bring bikes. |
| Parking lots for the game open 3 hours before game time. What time are you planning to arrive and park? Carter mountain will be a zoo since the weather will be nice. There are other pick your own places. The Discovery Museum is on the Downtown Mall and is for younger kids (kindergarten and below). The only public skate at the ice rink is too close to game time (1:30-3:30). You could stop at Early Mountain Winery on the way into town if you're coming 29, there is a lot of room outside for kids to run around. There is a winery with a pumpkin patch at Adventure Farm which is also off 29, near the airport. You could walk around The Corner or The Lawn. |
