| I'm supposed to be starting estrogen priming at the end of this cycle but I haven't detected my surge yet (I am about 3 days past when I normally get it). I went in for bloodwork today to see what's up and if I just missed it, which I'm thinking I did. How do the docs determine when to start you on patches if you don't know the exact surge day? Patches are supposed to begin 10 days after your LH surge. Since there will be no way to know, am I screwed and should I ask to cancel this cycle? Help! |
| It doesn't have to be exactly ten days, and they can estimate from the progesterone and LH levels. Same happened to me. |
Given that I haven't found ANYTHING helpful online, this makes me feel a lot better. I was worried they'd just end up canceling the cycle or the cycle would be a big failure. Thanks! |
| Also, different clinics have you start the estrogen at different points (7 days after surge, 10 days after surge, day 21) so it really isn't an exact science. Good luck with your cycle! |

Well my bloodwork showed I didn't miss my surge... I just haven't had it yet, which is really weird since I'm normally pretty regular. Who knows what that means.
Anyway, thank you! |
| Are you coming off another cycle or any other Stim meds? My cycles after that were always longer for some reason. |
Yeah I'm coming off a failed EPP cycle. I've had back to back cycles before but now that I think of it, it was a stim cycle followed by a medicated FET... so not the same. |
