We just moved into a house that has white, porcelain sinks that are dingy looking. How do we clean? Dont want to replace (I am not sure if we can, without having to re-do our counters...so not an option right now).
Thanks for any tips! |
Bleach and barkeeper's friend. Try BF first, then resort to bleach if necessary.
Our kitchen had an ancient white sink when we bought our house. It was reeeeally dingy but bleach cleaned it right up. I always wondered whether it damaged the surface, but I never saw evidence of it. |
I use Ajax on mine and it brightens right up. Not sure if I'm damaging it, but I've been doing it for a decade and the sink shows no sign of wear. |

Bon Ami. Hasn't scratched yet! |
We used to have one too. Wet the sink and scrub with soft scrub (with bleach). Don't rinse just yet. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Took care of it every time. |
