I was in the real estate forum yesterday and someone had linked to this house:
https://www.redfin.com/VA/Burke/9315-Winbourne-Rd-22015/home/9705992 The house is not mine, but the kitchen colors are similar to our kitchen - the counters we have are slightly lighter/more tan but the appliances and cabinets are the same. We are looking to do a backsplash - and would love suggestions. Our kitchen has a lot of natural light and I want something to keep that light feeling. TIA. |
White subway. Cheap and Classic. |
And ugly |
cheap, classic and ugly, Just like Burke |
I think cream colored travertine would be perfect for that kitchen. |
I have a similar kitchen and thought a nice white or cream tile either a tinted gray or tinted "greige" grout was the best choice.
White with white grout was too white, if that makes sense. |
I think it depends on your cabinet color. If they are truly white, I would never put cream tile next to them. There wouldn't be enough contrast and the tile would just look dirty. If the cabinets are cream, I wouldn't do a white tile for the same reason.
I happen to like white subway tile and think it is a classic. Especially if you like the light and airy look. |
Those cabinets look sorta ivory, so some kind of sand-colored backsplash would match. What color are your walls? |
