That title was supposed to say interims not intermission. Thanks autocorrect and lost glasses!

What are they? Does everyone get them?

Our MCPS elementary never sends interims. Wish they did.

It's weird how different schools do it differently. Shouldn't this be a district wide policy?

I have a fourth grader and have never seen one.

do kindergarteners get report cards?
Anonymous
We just got interim progress reports for the half-quarter a couple days ago for 4th grade. Never got them before this though and we've been at the same elementary for 9 years.

We will get ours tomorrow and our teacher sent home an email saying this today.

We didn't get them last year in kindy, but got one yesterday. I don't know whether our school does them for everyone except kindergarten or whether this is the first year anyone has received them.

Yes. The grading scale is slightly different (you can't get an ES in kindergarten, apparently) but you get a report card with a P(roficient), I(n Progress) or N(ot Demonstrated) plus a handy chart of reading level.

I thought Kindergartners didn't get report cards until end of second quarter (vs. first quarter for others)?
