Condo, bloocking smells from my neighbor's kitchen

I own an old condo, and renovated the kitchen a couple years ago. My neighbor that moved in loves to do lots and lots and lots of cooking. Sometimes it smells amazing, and sometimes it smells terrible. Regardless, I'm getting tired of smelling their constant cooking.

Without tearing down the kitchen (theirs is clearly on the other side of mine), how can I figure out where the smells are coming from? What are typical places that neighbor smells come through in an adjacent kitchen? How can I mitigate it?

It's *not* coming though a shared ventilation system - this I'm certain of.
