what do you want your doctor to wear?

What you want your 40-ish neurologist or ophthalmologist to wear under her white coat? And would you be horrified by bare legs in warm weather?

I don't expect I'd see much of what's under the coat. As long as I there's enough skirt peeking out underneath the coat so she avoids looking like a flasher, I wouldn't notice bare legs.

i very much don't care, i guess, as long as it isn't sweat pants.

see bare legs quite a bit on docs and other providers and it doesn't bother me at all

I really could care less what they wear under their coat, or if they even wear one, as long as they aren't showing any genitals and they are a damn good doctor. Do you really care?

I don't really care. Nice pants and a blouse are fine, especially if it's under a white coat. Bare legs are fine. Although, I might vote for pantyhose. My OB wears skirts all the time under her white coat and it's fine.

Like the pp said, I really just want a good doctor.

i agree that i don't care what they wear.
i used to think it was unique that dr. vivian fraga walked around the office and sibley (pre-op) in skirts and high heels. then i got to know dr. mungaman at reiter hill down the gall who does the same thing - dress and heels. i think its great that they have interest in enjoying fashion.

I can never get these polls to work--clicking on the circles does nothing.

Too trendy would be a little off-putting, but unless the clothes are cut inappropriately (too much cleavage/leg, etc.) it doesn't really matter. When I was giving birth last month I was really admiring the OB's jewelry, wish I'd asked her where she got it.

I think you need to be logged in to vote in the polls.

I wouldn't care, although I agree a skirt shorter than a coat always looks a little flasher-ish.

I don't care, as long as they are well put together and no bodily fluid stains.

Bare legs are fine. A nice pedicure I think is a must (for anyone with bare legs).

I don't care either. Whatever makes her comfortable. Bare legs are fine, but I agree a pedicure is important if toes are showing.

I would want her to wear something that looked comfortable and put me at ease. I would like to think her mind's on my neurons and not her painful shoes.
