I'm looking for a new hair salon/stylist in the Tysons/Falls Church/Arlington/Alexandria area. Salon recommendations are great, but specific stylists would be even better. I would ideally like to spend in the ~$60 range for just a haircut, but I'm willing to go higher, if necessary. Thanks!

I liked Soleil Salon in Alexandria, on Pickett St. in the Landmark area. It was new 3 years ago. I haven't been in 2 years since I moved, but I used several stylists and liked them all. I have short, chin length hair, and got a layered, razor cut. They charged $50.

When I have time, I LOVE Vidal Sassoon in Tysons.
Windsor of Old Town in Alexandria
Lorainne Aprile in Old Town. My stylist, Jessica, used to be at Windsor and moved to Lorainne Aprile. I love her and the staff is super friendly.
Eclips in McLean.
Ahh, I just got a HORRIBLE haircut from Jessica. Really bad. Had to get it fixed (and the person who cut it again pretty much said WTF?) |
above your price range but i love ruth at Salon Bleu in Tysons Galleria... the saving grace is that i only go every 7-8 weeks instead of the 4-5 weeks i was going to a less expensive stylist. when ruth first said to make my next appt 7-8 weeks later i laughed at her and asked if my hair woud somehow grow slower when she cut it... nope -- just the mark of a good cut that you don't have to go as often - it grows out and still looks good!
