organizations for which you can work remotely

I'm interested in those for whom I can work remotely, full-time. Considering a move overseas for spouse's work.

I think that's going to be a tough order.

- Most companies I know of at least start off with a trial basis, 3 days home/2 in office, etc during the first phase of 90 - 120 days.

- Those I know who have the most flexibility with working from home originally worked for the company in the office, proved their worth, and then were allowed to work from home when circumstances changed, they needed to move, in lieu of a raise, etc.

- Being overseas is going to severely limit your options, due to time zones and/or data protection polices of many companies, government, etc.

Do you have any past companies you have worked for where you might be able to consult/contract for them? Starting with connections you already have and building something unique is going to be far more likely to yield results than searching for a new company and then hitting them with wanting to work remotely from overseas. Unless you're terribly in demand in a unique profession, which I'm assuming you're not since you're asking.
