Long curtains in small-ish kitchen?

We're in a rowhouse and have an L-shaped kitchen with two good-sized side-by-side windows. The kitchen walls are light blue with orange accepts. I'm debating putting up curtains like this on the windows, but I'm wondering if they are too much curtain for a small space. Any thoughts?

Where in the kitchen are the windows? Near appliances or in a breakfast nook? It seems weird to me to have long curtains in a kitchen.

I think fabric in a kitchen is really hard to maintain. We went with high-quality faux wood blinds that are a bit more open and let in a lot of light. They are also easy to clean.

Across from a breakfast nook. Near the fridge, but not near other appliances.
