| Kid is in kindergarten at College Gardens. Just realized that tomorrow is picture day. At preschool, you could see the pictures first then decide if you wanted to order them. How does it work in elementary school? Do I have to send in the form and check tomorrow - or can I wait and see if I like the pictures? Pictures being taken by Lifetouch. I know I can call the office tomorrow and ask, just thought I'd see if anyone knew. |
| I think it is cheaper if you order before...but not worth it to me... |
|
former CGES parent here. You can wait & see the proof if you like. If you do a pre-order, you can do a retake in another month or two if you don't like the photo. I don't know how many kids do the retake or if it's disruptive to the classroom environment, etc. If you don't pre-order and don't like the pic/proof, I think you are SOL for the $0 spent.

Not at College Gardens but I think in our K class maybe 4-5 kids out of 25 did a retake. So schoolwide, a ton of kids.
|
I don't think they will take the picture if you don't send in the money. Not sure how it works at your specific school though. You can ask at drop off tomorrow. |

What company is it?
We've had both Freed Photography and LifeTouch. When we had Freed, they had you pay ahead of time. LifeTouch let you pay after. |
|
PP again - sorry, I just saw that you have LifeTouch. I think you can pay after and they'll take the picture anyway. Worth asking though!
Did they give you a website? There might be info there. |
| NP here. Just fyi, at my kids' mcps school, individual photos are taken in fall and spring, and class photos in the spring. I didn't realize that when the oldest started K. Now I only order photos in the spring! |
Yes they do. They take everyone's picture. Our school uses Lifetouch, and m0y experience has been that if you don't order on picture day, you get a proof with the company watermark splashed all over the picture and another order form. |
| These will be the yearbook picture (if you have a yearbook) whether you order or not. They definitely try to get everyone. |
| Life touch--they take anyone's picture and you don't have to buy until later. And--you can buy on line and find a coupon code!! |
| At Somerset, each student gets an oil portrait. Much better than wallet size photos. |
