Anyone have any success stories of a sectional in a small living room? our lving room is 11 x 12 and we are considering a 107x81 sectional |
Sectionals are low to the ground which is nice for a small room. |
Pretty awesome way to maximize seating.
I'd suggest taping out the area of the dimensions of the sectional and try it for a day or two treating the room as though that space was "consumed" with furniture. |
We found one at Hancock and Moore that was perfect for a small living room--it was the city sectional, I believe (it's been about 10 years). |

Look into LoveSac Sactionals. They are modular and can be moved around to make it fit your space. Also, the main sactionals might be too large for your space. But they do have a model that is smaller. |
Here are the smaller Sactionals

We just got a smaller one from West Elm - Peggy
Apt2B had some good options JoyBird will do custom sizes |
Try home decorators. They have some small ones. |
I really like these but their pricey. Do they ever have sales? |
Sorry typo....they're |
Take painters tape and put it down on the floor matching the measurements you want b/f you buy. You'll be able to visualize better whether it's the right size. |
Agree with this. We got a small sectional in our long and narrow living room at Belfort. I did the painters tape and decided on the max size, then we went there and looked through the manufacturers' specs to get a list of models that would fit, and picked the one we liked best. It's 93" long I think. |
Check Room & Board. Most of their sectionals can be made in varying sizes, including love seat size. |
I think when you tape out 107x81 you'll see it's just too much for that size room. Or you'll love it! |
