| Today I noticed, 5 Soccer moms with their vans and cars to pick up their kids. Why cant they walk a couple blocks? its just rain |
| There are parents in my neighborhood who do this even in nice weather. It's really weird. |
| Eh, I walk everywhere. If the distance is less than 1.5 miles we don't drive. But, sometimes when it rains, I break out the car. I just hate rain. It's really ok. |
| I'm driving because I'm picking them up on the way to go somewhere other than home. |
| I drive sometimes bc I'm coming from work and I don't have time to park in the garage and then walk up. But maybe by saying soccer mom you don't mean WOHM, not sure. |
|
I picked up today because the toddler was sick and I didn't want him to have to wait in the rain.
Basically - don't judge other people because you don't know what they have going on. |
| Only in DC would people feel the need to control other's choices. |
|
They could be coming from work or errands and don't have time to go home, park and walk.
They could be picking up and going somewhere else. I pick up my son from school and if he ever has activities after school, the absolute worst thing I can do is try to go home for 10 to 20 minutes. It is impossible to get him back out. So I could see why some parents would want to pick up, get them in the car, and go. |
| I do that just to annoy you, OP. |
| 3 out of the 5 days I pick up the kids on my way home from spending 2 hrs at a nearby hospital with our therapy dog. Some days we walk to the hospital then to school then to home. But not in the rain. I am so sorry this bugs you. I guess I will change my volunteering so as not to be judged by bitches like you. |
| Activities after school or I don't want to get wet. Why do you care? |
| How many grammar and punctuation errors are in OP's post? I count seven. |
| I do this when we're going on to another destination. |
I find posts like this even more annoying than op. Get a life, ok? |
Not counting sentence structure? |
