Roof maintenance?

New homeowner trying to figure out some regular maintenance that needs to be done. House is about 15 years old with original roof. Inspector said it'll need to be replaced in a few years but I am hoping with regular inspection and maintenance we can extend the life. Anyone do this? Any lessons learned? Also, who has recommendations for someone that will service Kensington MD? Thanks
