After sex how long do you wait before you get up to go to the bathroom or clean up? I'm worried that when I go to the bathroom all the good stuff leaks out. I wait like 15-20 minutes usually.

There have been way more TMI questions on this board so don't worry! I wait about 30 minutes, lying down with hips up. Of course, my TTC attempts haven't succeeded recently, so what do I know.

15-20 minutes is about what I did too when I got pregnant. By the time you stand up after 15-20 minutes, the stuff that falls out isn't any of the "good" stuff that's going to get you pregnant anyway. Good luck!

I keep a towel near the bed and softcups. After about 20 min with but up on a pillow I put in a softcup and wipe the rest off with a towel, not getting up till next morning.

I sometimes don't pee. I have never had a UTI in my life. Some people are more prone to get infections than others.

How about using a position when your husband ejaculates that is conducive to most of the semen not leaking out?

I used to lie down after for 20 min with a pillow but then got a raging UTI. Then I tried 10 minutes and it started coming in again. Now I only lie down for 2-5 minutes. Not ideal but better than a UTI.

I've had 1 UTI in my life, many years ago. I also pee before going to bed/sex, so there is nothing to pee out afterwards. I think you might benefit from researching UTI prevention to see if there is anything that can be done to minimize its recurrence.

1st kid waited 30 minutes hips up - took full year to conceive (at age 26). 2nd kid did the same, plus year of fertility treatments to conceive. 3rd (surprise) kid always peed right away to avoid UTIs.

If it is leaking out it is by definition not the good stuff. The good stuff has already been taken up by your uterus.
