Lexapro weight gain

In your expereince is weight gain on Lexapro common? Does it stabilize? I have been on the drug 2 months, a dosage of 5mg for 30 days and 10mg for 30 days, and my weight has shot up 5 lbs!

Yes and yes. I gained about 10 pounds on 10 mg, then was stable for awhile. Then I went up to 20 mg and gained another 15! Went back down to 10 and stabilized.

Now I am off of it completely and trying to lose the weight.

I gained 12 pounds on 10mg. I don't think I'm ever going to lose it as I've really stepped up my exercising and there it remains.

I don't care. 10lbs to release me from anxiety is totally worth it.

Does Zoloft do the same thing?

And is the reason because you are less depressed and thus can eat more?
