Title says it. We are adding a tiny powder room and would love to get recommendations for any small sinks that have proven their worth (hopefully don't splash out a ton of water, drain well, etc.). Would love to hear thoughts on a wall mounted one vs something with a cabinet (yes, the storage idea is attractive) or even one of those new fangled "bowl" ones. Thanks! |
We literally just had this installed yesterday in our understairs tiny powder room. We had just reframed the powder room to make it smaller to get more space for kitchen/laundry, and after they framed it, my husband and I were a little worried because it felt SMALL. Then we put in a regular but "round" toilet and this sink, and we've been laughing about how big the space still feels. We both fit in there! In all seriousness, the sink looks very nice and modern. I can't comment on splashing etc yet.
We had also looked at this one: http://www.listvanities.com/fresca-pulito-gray-oak-bathroom-vanity.html It has a tiny vanity too and is super cute. In the end, we figured we didn't need the storage space and just keep a couple rolls of TP in a small bin on the floor. |
That's funny; I'm researching the same thing myself. I saw this one at Home Depot & thought it had possibilities. It's 10"x16".

OP here. Many thanks for the ideas |
I adore this sink – chose it myself when we had our upstairs bathroom renovated a few years ago. I have three kids and there is minimal splash and no water runs down the back of the wall because of the backsplash on it. Best part is, it comes in lots of sizes, including a petite size that might work in your powder room! Our bathroom is not huge either and we went with the small size.

These are popular abroad We just moved back, and bought a house. If the powder room had not just been "done" by the previous owners, I would have installed this. |
I don't have any experience with small sinks, but on my last trip out to IKEA, I saw several very small sinks similar to some of the ones linked. |
I'm this PP and whoops, I just realized I didn't post the link for my first suggestion. This is what we just had installed a couple days ago: http://www.wayfair.com/Elanti-Porcelain-Rectangle-Wall-Mounted-Left-Facing-Sink-EC9899-L-ELTI1021.html?refid=TEM_WF_732&mmid=350103663&csnid=BBE808A9-7233-407A-A896-89632037D81B&cltr= |
We have this sink in our tiny powder room and it has worked great for the last 2+ years: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Elanti-Wall-Mounted-Corner-Bathroom-Sink-in-White-EC9808/204740486?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cBase&gclid=Cj0KEQjw4ZOwBRDoxpjAvPXAl5MBEiQAEek_3ubq5GfUnJr8RapXn655Po1UzXnObL7QT8wZH1D_QLsaAszH8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds |
We had an awesome Duravit one. If by "new bowl" you mean vessel sinks, don't - that trend has played itself out. |
My sister has a wall mounted corner sink and it's great. My small kids use it and are able to keep the water in the sink; draining isn't a problem. She has a wall-mounted soap dispenser as well and then did a kind of funky multi-mirror mirror in the corner space above the sink. And the round toilet bowl is important for saving space, too. |
