do i really need this? don't have one now but it's in the design for a new kitchen....was told everyone has one now, both to look more integrated and to give the cabinets over the fridge more support? it's expensive to get such a large piece so wanted to check. my kitchen seems ok without it (although did have an issue at one point with the cabinets over the fridge...) |
No you don't need it - I like it. I got our fridge online and didn't realize it needed a panel and it looks very nice bu tI would not pay extra. |
I like them. IMO it makes the kitchen look more finished and polished and especially with medium priced stainless refrigerators it hides the black sides. |
I had one of them but just switched to a stainless steel counter depth fridge (an extra tall model so there isn't a gap at the top) when we had to replace the fridge after 12 years. I actually like the contemporary look of stainless better. |
If your kitchen is worth more than 15k, it's worth it to get the fridge panels. My solid wood ones were only $150 each. |
I'm getting painted wood cabinets. The wood panel is only $139 but painting it is another $480! |
