cover panel to frame fridge

do i really need this? don't have one now but it's in the design for a new kitchen....was told everyone has one now, both to look more integrated and to give the cabinets over the fridge more support? it's expensive to get such a large piece so wanted to check. my kitchen seems ok without it (although did have an issue at one point with the cabinets over the fridge...)

No you don't need it - I like it. I got our fridge online and didn't realize it needed a panel and it looks very nice bu tI would not pay extra.

I like them. IMO it makes the kitchen look more finished and polished and especially with medium priced stainless refrigerators it hides the black sides.

I had one of them but just switched to a stainless steel counter depth fridge (an extra tall model so there isn't a gap at the top) when we had to replace the fridge after 12 years. I actually like the contemporary look of stainless better.

If your kitchen is worth more than 15k, it's worth it to get the fridge panels. My solid wood ones were only $150 each.

I'm getting painted wood cabinets. The wood panel is only $139 but painting it is another $480!
