This Spanish mamacita schtick is an act bu BOTH of them.
They have both spent a lot of time with their agents and lawyers trying to squelch everyone from bringing the truth to light.

This is very common in Hollywood - hired beards etc.

Alec's gleeful boasting of his "wife's" Spanish-ness (cue Howard Stern, Letterman, countless other red carpet interviews) was to boost her career and salvage his crumbling reputation.
Sadly the kids painted a holy halo of sanctimonious "family man" imagery onto both of them.

It was a business transaction from Day 1, concocted to make the public believe he was rehabilitated and that she was a prize influencer with an exotic flair.

It blew up in their faces.

I don't believe Sabourin is that "crazy" after all. She was just less powerful as a 1) a woman and 2) an unknown in Hollywood.

This is possible. I had a Catholic wedding in another country. I happened to have been raised a devout Catholic but I didn't have to provide any records.

I had a Catholic wedding in a country different to where I was born. The paperwork was more stressful than getting a mortgage! I had to produce a recently issued baptismal certificate, confirmation cert, freedom to marry from parish priest (from hometown parish) and a copy of my birth certificate with an apostille stamp. We were both Catholic but getting married in a parish different to where we both lived and both were raised required a lot of paperwork. We also had to undergo a pre-nuptial inquiry with the parish priest of where we currently lived and pre marriage counselling. Was their ceremony Catholic or was the church just being used as a venue (favour for celeb?) Alec is divorced so couldn’t remarry in a Catholic ceremony proper. I wondered how she would reconcile her WASPy background with her fake traditional Spanish Catholic one...(I’m Irish and Catholicism is just part of the culture here as it is in Spain I think - like would she know when to genuflect at mass 😂)

Hola! Catholic culture exist outside of Spain. I grew up in the US surrounded by Catholicism. Alec could have a Catholic wedding if his marriage to Kim was annulled.

Sounds like she is talking about accepting her daughter.

I understand why the parents haven't spoken out. I have a sister with some of these traits who does some pretty obnoxious things. If it came back to bite her I would not defend her. I want her to be happy, but I don't enable.

I also think they are giving out plenty of "blink twice" signals. The mom's words above tell you where she is with this. The dad came to the wedding, but supposedly didn't walk her sown the isle and he wrote in a blog that he has no Spanish roots. They are telling the world they are not a part of this. When you have a disturbed child, you don't want to make life harder for them, but you also don't want to enable poor behavior. So basically they are following those guidelines.
