I’ve noticed minority wise a lot of Arabs live in Va, and Jews live in Moco.
But in Silver Spring where I live there are a lot of East Africans some of them are Muslim so you do have so religious diversity in Silver Spring. I’m saying that because Silver Spring/Kensington is definitely a stronger gayborhood. School wise, in Montgomery County be prepared for Muslim populations to protest school content when it comes to lgbt issues because that has happened so there is definitely a Muslim voice in this county. I see more Indian families from Potomac area up through Gaithersburg and a number of them may be Muslims. Sorry I can’t think of a gay friendly and mostly Muslim neighborhood mostly because Muslims aren’t necessarily gay friendly. Welcome to America. 😆 |
lol the truth. |
| DuPont area |
America is definitely Balkanizing in a way that’s highlighting the worst viewpoints from around the world |
| I would live in DC, Kalorama. |
There is a tiny section of Kensington that is catholic/conservative. This is the area directly around Holy Redeemer Church and School. The rest of Kensington is totally chill. Come here. |
| Shepherd Park/Colonial Village is close to Silver Spring, DC Proper, very diverse, and feeds into good schools. |
Anyone in Alexandria could have told you that. I’d throw in Spring Valley and parts of Kent |
OP here. That's what I've noticed as well. I never really hard of that many complaints coming from Muslims living in MoCo prior to October 7, but I definitely heard some things after that. There's a lot of Iranians and a decent sized Afghan and Turkish population in MoCo though. Iranians aren't all that religious and they're also one of the more white-adjacent ethnic groups in the Middle East, so I think they have a better time assimilating. |
| In DC, towards EOTR if money is tight otherwise NW DC, close to Dupont circle. |
